About Egiva and the Directory
Egiva is a community-focused online directory designed to help people discover and connect with organizations and community groups making a positive difference in their communities. Egiva provides information about listed organizations and links visitors to their websites, donation pages, and other publicly available resources.
Organizations may submit their own information for inclusion in the Egiva directory. Egiva may also create listings using factual information that organizations have made publicly available. Organizations may contact Egiva to claim, update, correct, or request removal of a listing.
Listings and Relationships with Organizations
Inclusion of an organization or community group in the Egiva directory does not necessarily mean that the organization has submitted, approved, or claimed its listing or that it endorces or is affiliated with Egiva. Likewise, inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement, recommendaton, certification, or guarantee by Egiva of any organization, its services, activities, or fundraising efforts.
Egiva strives to provide useful and accurate directory information, but information may change or become outdated. Visitors are encouraged to verify information directly with an organization before making decisions, participating in activities, or making a donation.
Organization Submissions and Listing Management
Individuals who submit an organization for inclusion in the Egiva directory, claim a listing, or request changes to a listing are responsible for providing information that is accurate and not misleading. By submitting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to provide that information or make the requested changes
Egiva reserves the right to review, edit, decline, or remove submitted
information or directory listings when reasonably necessary to maintain the accuracy, integrity, and purpose of the directory. Egiva may contact an organization or the person submitting information when clarification or verification is needed.
Donations and Third-Party Websites
Egiva provides links to websites, donation pages, and other online resources operated by organizations listed in the directory. These websites and services are independent of Egiva and are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and practices.
Egiva does not process, receive, hold, or control donations made through third-party websites and does not retain any portion of those donations. Donations are made directly between the donor and the organization or its payment provider. Egiva is not responsible for the processing, acknowledgement, receipt, refund, tax treatment, or use of a donation, or for the actions or communications of an organization after a visitor leaves the Egiva website.
Accuracy of Information
Egiva makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information about organizations listed in the directory. However, information may be provided by organizations or their authorized representatives, or obtained from publicly available sources, and may change over time.
Egiva cannot guarantee that all information on the website is complete, current, or error-free.
Visitors are responsible for evaluating information before relying on it. Egiva does not guarentee the services, programs, financial practices, nonprofit or tax-exempt status, conduct, or performance of any organization listed in the directory.
Acceptable Use of Egiva
Visitors may use Egiva to discover organizations, learn about their activities, and connect with them through the information and links provided on the website. Users may not misuse the website, submit false or misleading information, impersonate an organizaton or its representatives, interfere with the operation or security of the website, or use Egiva for unlawful purposes.
Anyone submitting, claiming, or requesting changes to an organization listing must provide truthful information and must not represent themselves as acting on behalf of an organization unless they are authorized to do so.
Intellectual Property
The content created by Egiva for the website, including Egiva's name, branding, original text, design, and other original materials, is owned by Egiva or used with permission and may not be copied, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without permission.
Names, trademarks, logos, photographs, and other materials belonging to organizations or third-parties remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on Egiva does not transfer ownership to Egiva or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
Changes to Listings and the Website
Egiva may add, update, edit, reorganize, or remove directory listings or other website content as reasonably necessary to maintain the accuracy, usefulness, and integrity of the website. Egiva may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the website at any time.
Organizations are encouraged to contact Egiva if information in their isting is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, or if they wish to claim, update, correct, or request removal of their listing.
Limitation of Responsibility
Egiva provides the directory as a resource to help visitors discover and connect with organizations and community groups. Egiva is not responsible for the actions, decisions, services, programs, communications, or conduct of organziations listed in the directory or for interactions between visitors and those organizations.
Visitors use Egiva and the informaiton and links provided through the website at their own discretion. To the extend permitted by law, Egiva is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from reliance on directory information, use of third-party websites, donations, or transactions with listed organizations, or other interactions with organizations found through Egiva.
Changes to These Terms
Egiva may update these Terms of Use from time to time as the website, directory, services, or legal requirements change. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Use.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal matter relating to these Terms of Use or the use of Egiva will be governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of California.
